Someone could buy it, part out what they don't need and knock another ~1500 or so off the price that way. And shipping to a terminal in SoCal isn't a bad selling point either.

Thats a lot for an s52. I can get a whole e36 m3 for that. I'm planning on doing a swap in to a e39 so most of that stuff is not needed. All i really need are the pistons, crank, rods, and head.

It's not for JUST the S52.

It's an entire package to drop the car in, ALL OBD-I parts, 3.5" MAF and BW intake boot, TRM tune, $1000 TMS headers and custom downpipe, new water pump/thermostat housing/seals/gaskets etc, lightened flywheel, custom clutch, good condition G260, etc.

If you want just the motor, I'd be happy to sell only that. Shoot me an offer.

Problem is some people wouldn't put some of those parts in their budget Buddy. It's a fair price, but it can be pieced together for cheaper.

I just wanted to point, in case he didn't read the ad properly, that I wasn't asking $5k shipped for just the engine.

And yes, you can piece together a SWAP cheaper. But not a swap with THOSE parts. ;)

einstein57, the shortblock has a reman'd with a fresh valve job and valve seals and new Stg 1 Dr Vanos installed. If you're intersted in it, shoot me an offer.
