I have run into a fast m42. That was in a 2300 lbs 84 318 body. it was quick for staying next to me till about 100 on the freeways. ( m20 top end ftw. )

dont get me wrong i was all 4cyl b4 i got my 1st 325, now im sorry but he sound and tq from a inline six gives me a stiffy.

I was saing i had against a 318i ( early ) with a m42 swap. It was pretty fast. But still no match for a m20
