I'm probably just going to stick with the 373LSD and yes there's only a thunking and popping noise as you stated. I'll have to check that U joint.The u-joint? Could be. My sister's car made a popping/thunking sound when going putting it in reverse. Ended up being the u-joint. Does it just make the popping noise or is there any grinding or humming or anything?
Yup, that's why I took it out and put a 3.73 back in. Plus it was annoying how short first gear was with 4.10s.

3.91 should have come out of an iX. I would stick with the 3.73 if I were you Edwin. The 4.10 is nice but it gets really annoying on the freeway. 3.46 would be goof for freeway driving but you would lose a lot of bottom end
