Meh, Santa Ana basically is Costa Mesa. Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and a couple other cities (can't remember right now since I'm tired as shit) are basically all having sex with each other. Somewhere around Harbor blvd, you can walk 5 feet in one direction an technically walk through like 3 cities.

lol don't even compare the 2 cities man, Costa Mesa is much nicer than Santa Ana. Are you from the area? Considering that I grew up in Costa Mesa and had friends in Santa Ana, the difference between the two were night and day. Put it this way, I never had to worry about gangs when living in Costa Mesa. I know it isn't much of a party town, but it has a couple good bars where you can start off from and make your way down to the peninsula in Newport. That's why I told OP to come on down. And Harbor Blvd will take you to Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Disneyland, Anaheim, Fullerton, La Palma, and La Habra.

I have personal experience that there is lots of gang activity in Costa Mesa....but not the gangs that get too noticed. Theres lots of white supremacist gangs out there, I knoew a few buddies from there. Smart dudes, shame they went to that and realized it was all bullshit. But, I did the same thing. Gave it 15 years and then said "wtf am I doing this for?"
