Epic Socal e30 Bimmerfest Caravan 2011(updated on the last page)

I got everything installed for my new water pump/ timing after some dumb stuff got taken care off and now it sounds like there might be something wrong with the cam... Heard some valve knocking in the one all the way up front (#1?) I opened everything back up and found metal shavings in a couple of places as well.. Neeedless to say no Bimmerfest for me this weekend. Looks like I may be pulling my head off...Literally.

Latest news are like this; we will give everyone an extra half hour of sleeping time so meet time for all 4 spots is 6:30am.

That doesn't mean, that you will not be left behind if you come late or after 7:15! It just means that you get to have a shorter amount of time to meet. We feel that the lots of the meet spots will get too much attention too early, therfore we meet in a shorter amount of time and get to drive quicker.

My intentions are to meet the ELA/SGV caravan on the 10 frwy as they drive close to the LA meet spot. We'll combine our caravans and hope that we can do the same with the LB/OC caravan. If we are able to accomplish that we would all meet up with the SFV guys at their location or the secret one. Giving the SD caravan some time to catch up to us and embark on the attack of BimmerFest 2011.

I hope I didn't babble too much, please let everyone know of the latest and clean your cars as we will have magazine/media coverage.

Iron E - Next time you update the thread title put "update on pg.X" instead of "update on last page" because everytime the thread grows a page, the "last" page also changes to a page without the update. Woo finally finished cleaning my car. This guy at the car wash was looking at me and was tripping because I spayed degreaser( commercial high strength) all over my car. He said it was going to ruin my paint but I've done it maybe 20 times and never had an issue no my ramfla is ready and looks white. Hahaha. I hope it doesn't get dirty since I park on the street.

He was right, man. Its caustic. It may not show in gradual increments each time you do it, but its killing whats left of your clear coat. Degreaser isnt meant to clean exterior, clear-coated paint. I used to do many things for long periods of time and they didnt do shit to me.... until they bit me in the ass. Just an observation, I could be wrong.
