MJ smoke has been shown to be just as carcinogenic as tobacco, AND contains more tar. :P

But seriously though, there's arguments on both sides of the spectrum and it's hard to know what's what. Most proponents for MJ will argue that it's natural and the wonder plant and blah blah blah, while the other side will argue that it's just as bad etc etc etc. Personally I don't care one way or the other, it's all personal choice.
