Dude, just get triple AAA, it's like $45 for a year. It is so worth it not to waste your time. I let my AAA expire because I had purchased a new car that came with roadside assistance so I had no use for it. I literally renewed it the day I purchased my e30 because I wasn't about to deal with the DMV. I had it registered in 5 minutes the same day.

Also, when I purchased the e30 it had only come with one plate and apparently whoever had the other plate was racking up tickets and after teh second ticket came I decided to get new plates. Literally walked in and in 5 minutes had new plates and registration papers.

Plus you get the free tows and countless other discounts at a lot of places.
