maybe i overpaid to your jewish standards but I got exactly what I wanted. what someone pays for a car is what it is worth to them. I got a car that wasnt beaten on by some stupid kid, that had a full binder of maintenance history from the day it left the lot, and one which wont leave me stranded on the side of the road as it is my DD.

1. i'm not jewish. not even close.
2. that's all fine and dandy, there's no reason you need to get butt hurt over people telling you that you overpaid.
3. i have every single service record from when it was purchased in 95.
4. sure mine was tracked by a rich kid, but he spent at the bare minimum of $2k each time he went to his mechanic, not including parts...meaning everything has been replaced.
5. if you knew anything about bmw's, like you seem to do, you would know that bmw motors are built to last, and at the mileage that i am at now, my motor is just breaking in.
6. there is no doubt in my mind that my car will NOT leave my stranded anytime soon. even with the 3k+ miles a month i put on it.

well the funny thing about these older BMWs is that even if they are beaten on by a stupid kid and have a surplus of 100k, or even 200k, often drive not only reliably, but strongly as well. my car is a DD that doesn't leave me stranded ever...and i drive it a lot. i could have bought 11 of my cars for what you paid for yours, but that's personal choice in the end.

I do know that the motors last a long time but your retarded if your only going to consider the motor. miles on chassis and miles spent launching, burning out, and whatever stupid shit you and the previous owners do all adds wear on the car.

not really. you fail to read what i had written. everything maintenance wise has been replaced, i have even gone so far as to replace all the gaskets and extra hoses in the bay. there is nothing wrong with how my car drives, and to be honest, i think mine drives better then any other m3 i've driven thus far and i even have people who can vouch for that.

i couldn't care less. it's not like i am going to be keeping it forever. i could be the 10th for crying out loud, if it has all the maintenance records and i know that it will be reliable for me as a college student, then that sounds great. when i have an established career, then we can talk about 1 owners.

okay, well then you should know that mileage means NOTHING. and yes you are right, and that is why i have rear sub-frame reinforcement. you can do all the trash talking you want, with the money i have put into the car so far including purchase price is still about half of what you paid at the very least.

and thats where you and I differ. I plan on keeping my car forever. I bought with the intention of DDing it until I can afford to bring another car into the mix. therefore, I didnt want to be stuck cleaning up someone elses mess and wanted to experience everything myself. who are you to tell me I overpaid.
