Hi John,
You missed a great turnout at Roberts, but it sounds like you've been having fun while working. You just finished concerts on 2 of my all time favorite groups!! I'm sure Skynyrd did a 12 min. "Yellow Bird" & Gibbons probably opened with "well dressed man"?? You are my hero!! LOL.
All the stars aligned & 7 '91-'92 M-techs showed up with all colors represented They belong to Barry (dark blau), Jack (red/5 speed) JimE (black), Roberz (silver/black leather), DaveL (silver, M-Tech cloth inserts), Kalons (white) & Henry's (red/auto). JoeC brought mine & I brought the M3.

Robert, Greetings from Mizzou! Sorry to say I missed this years event. Life in the midwest just isn't the same. Both my 'verts are still in Cali, I should be back in July. Working on a couple of concerts this season, just finished up Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top. 38 Special will be here in July then Larry the Cable Guy.
I'll swing by when I return, finally got the M-Tech up and running (very well, btw!). How did Cactus Jack get all his cars there?!?!?!
PS You look like you could use a haircut....Leave a comment:

Yes, Thanks to you and your extensive knowledge on wiring, you were a ton of help! btw, did you get a chance to meet Joel of Extremespeed? Can't wait to get out there with you guys!
Glad to hear you solved the CEL problem, I see the bypass we talked about worked like a champ. Glad I could help you get it resolved. We will be back at Willow Springs soon, I friggen love the the big track!
Me and Colin had a great time out Sunday at the track!

If you ain't meltin' the tires, you aint driven hard enough. Definitely pushing the eta to its limit on street tires with a best time of 2.02.02. As a comparison, Spec E30's average 1.41-1.45 per lap on the big track.

Sorry for being MIA since the car show, it has been a awesome weekend, one of the best in awhile, but as such I am wiped out, beat up and sore.
Friday night my best friend Colin came in from PA so there was abit of obligatory celebration required ;) This lead to abit of horseplay in which I feel down and cracked or severely bruised my tail bone. Opps, lol (not really funny as it hurts like a mother)
So anyways Saturday was the car show and I have to say I was truly blown away and exstactic at the turn out, we packed the parking lot to the brim.
I want to personally thank everyone who was a part of the show, both those that drove so many miles to get there and for everyone who made it happen.
Huge Thanks goes out first and foremost to the E30 community, without you, none of this would even happen. Thank You, all of you.
Huge thanks goes out to Tony from Torco Advanced Lubricants. He set up his display and donated several t-shirts, hats, and 2 6 packs of SR1 5/30 Racing Oil. He was also the man responsible for rounding up the Spec E30 crew.
Huge thanks goes to Shawn Meze, SoCal Spec E30 director, driver Allen Hauser, #320, and Driver Kieran Gobey, #56. It was great to have 2 Spec E30 races cars on display. Allen trailered his and Kieran actually drive his on the street all the way from Azusa. Huge effort on these 3 individuals part for adding a huge aspect to the show. Loved having them at the show and I have to say I might get bit by the Spec E30 bug.
Have to thank John, our fabricator for handling all the BBQ duties, my secretary Christine who is just a great addition to the shop, my best friend Colin for coming out from PA, and my beautiful girlfriend for also spending the day out, even with a broken foot.
So many people turned out, from unknown enthusiasts to long time customers, again just a huge thanks, and I am glad I could put together a venue for all of the community to be able to meet up and have a great time together.
After the car show I was absolutely beat down, I checked my car to make sure I had everything for the track on Sunday (today) came home and crashed out. Woke up at 5am and jumped in the car and headed out to Willow Springs.
I will make a separate thread in the track section for that.
Anyways I am beat down and ready for bed, lots and lots of work to do at the shop.
Take Care and Thanks Again to Everybody.
Robert
