Yeah, your experiences. Could be positive or negative. More like a quote or one line and could compile them together on OP

chris takes care of his customers. no BS or funny games, he's honest and enjoys what he does. he personally did my exhaust. full 2.5" with headers, resonator, cat, muffler. he was very thorough and i couldn't be happier!

i've visited robert before but never had work done. just too far for me. he's super helpful though and always seems willing to share his thoughts/advice.

        is matt still with tng?

For the record just because Castro's gets the most whored in this thread doesn't mean the others should be ruled out. Don't get me wrong, Chris does great work and I have used him myself but don't forget about the other guys!

Mike, I am not working at TNG currently but the owner (John) and I are still friends and have been for 10 years or so.

CASTRO's Rocks. Chris always takes care of me and any friends I send his way.

Didn't know BMW was operated by Joey though. He's good peeps, might have to try him out soon.

Burnett Motor Werks homie, where you do half the work and pay half the price, plus you walk away with some knowledge that you can pass along. ;)

Castro's are the worst shop ever. They totally ripped me off by charging extra to replace my blinker fluid when they did my muffler bearings. Where can I find out more about this burnet?

If anyone wants to try someone different, I have a guy named stan who used to be the shop foreman at pacific in Glendale years ago. Very nice Korean guy who has his own lift, press, and various resources. Not to mention charges less than most shops. he is in Burbank @ a place called speedzone

                          Castro's all day every day.
The family atmosphere of the shop is great. And ive yet to see someone beat their prices. And Chris is a baller mechanic who can do just about anything u can imagine. I reccomend them to everyone i know for any job. Even though the shop has been very busy lately, they always manage to help all of us out when we need.

But if you want track prep stuff, JMP is a great place to be.
Jerrek (spelling?) kevin and edgar do a great job over there and they have some good prices on tires and parts kits. I saw a cage they built for an 02 and that thing was SICK. And again I appreciate them cause they are looking out for enthusiasts like all of us.

My experience with Castro has been nothing but good.
Honest, genuine, and humble. He will go out of his way to make sure you are satisfied.
Hell, he re-did a section of my header-back exhaust 3 times because HE wasn't happy with it when I thought it was fine.

                            He's turbo'd my friend's e36, custom coiled my friend's Nissan 300zx, and is in the middle of s52 swapping my bud's e30.
I recommend them to everybody I meet that needs custom work done to their car.

I only mentioned my guy as I used to work @ BMA, and know a lot of different shops as they supply parts to a lot of shops including Castro's.

I just cant justify paying $80/hour labor when I can pay significantly less for the same work from someone who is either as qualified or even more qualified than a lot of shops.

Plus when someone doesnt have the overhead such as rent, paying employees, etc and works by themselves, its always less $$

My experiences have been with my guy Stan in Burbank

and recently a guy named Jasper who does a lot of s5x swaps.
