Anyone heard of or been to Burbank Motor Works?

I just passed by that place yesterday and they had a bunch of older BMW's there (e30, e28, e36, maybe a 2002 as well?). It's off Burbank and Buena Vista

            Pure Performance
            Lake forest.

I've taken my car there a couple times. The owner, Daniel I think his name is, is a cool guy that wont try to rape you price wise. And when this is the first thing you see when pulling up to drop off your car you somehow know everything is gonna be alright. Good work, honest pricing. If your'e in south orange county and need work done on your'e E30 go here.

Daniel at Pure Performance is an awesome guy. He's built numerous championship E36 IP Race cars, and worked for Bullet for over 8 years. He's an upstanding guy, and a pleasure to deal with!

Brett, glad we could save the day for you. Trust me, I was not into pulling out a Auto trans either. When I pull them out, its usually permanently removed in favor of a 5 speed box ;)

I want to say thanks for all the great comments regarding me and my shop.

Some of you maybe unfamiliar with my shop as I typically post alot on the 'other' board, but I do lots of big projects including engine building, swaps, suspension setups, etc... As well as all the smaller maintenance stuff like timing belts, engine repairs, etc..

Last night I stayed late and swapped in a 3:46 LSD with 40% lock up in a E36 M3 with a LS1 swap!

                  I also speak ///M Power :p

Here are a few pictures to show some of the quality work done at the shop. Thanks again for the good comments and I certainly hope my pictures are ok to post here. Don't want to be too much. I feel like I am on probation since I got smacked with the ban hammer last year ;)

                      E30 Motorworks FTW

Rob at e30motorworks has been working with me since I first got my e30 about 3 years ago. I found him while he was still working out of his garage in Garden Grove. I found him through an ad in the "other" board I believe and was very accomodating in helping me get my suspension done. I wanted to do as much as I could but I brought my stuff over to his place and he helped me where I needed it and was very reasonable.

Fast forward a little bit and he took the big plunge in setting up his own shop dedicated to the E30. The thought of not only being marque specific but model specific made me wonder what he was smoking. I was thinking that it would be a crash and burn operation with such a limited market. Boy was I wrong. From my limited knowledge he is the first and only dedicated e30 shop around, maybe even in the entire country. For that alone, we are blessed to have in the socal area. As for anyone who has run a small business before (myself included), you can appreciate how crazy things can get running the show and doing the work. Robert works through the crazyness to get things done no matter what. Just 2 weeks ago I ordered some new sway bars and was going to do the work myself (because I still like to wrench when I have time) when I hit a snag. I finished the front sways no problem, but had a hell of a time getting the rear bar mounted and called Robert in a panic since I had a track day at El Toro in 2 days and had to have it done. As usual Robert had a pile of work already set for the day but he cranked the work out and got me in the afternoon and together we got the job done (it was still a pain the arse, but better suffered with a good guy who reassured me that we would get it done). The quality of his work is awesome and he has always been super fair with prices. From a probono standpoint, he has always taken time to answer questions and has always entertained me when I stop by to pick something up or ask a question. He has helped me tremendously with my dd e30 as well as help me get my head screwed on straight with my lemons e30 project I am currently knee deep in.

To say I am happy with Robert and e30 Motorworks would be a serious understatement. All he needs now is a good mechanic that can work with him so he can continue to grow and suppor the local and national e30 community with great service, knowledge, and passion for the curiosity that is the e30 BMW. Thanks Robert and support a pillar in the BMW community.
