Most of the members here don't even remember black and white TV's let alone remember this fine old actor. When I was looking for a profile picture I searched the web for "old man with a gun" and up came the picture of Gabby. I like his gun, that's hand gun not the one between his legs for you wise guys.

Cool location and what not, but this shouldn't be called Dockweiler anymore. The whole point of calling it that, was that we all originally planned the meet to be there and stay there. While this gathering sounds to be pretty well organized and has a good bit of support, it doesn't do our original meet justice IMO...

Call it Marconi Auto Event, or something that won't confuse random onlookers and noobs IMO. This is NOT the original Dockweiler that WE ALL helped to organize and create.

i have yet to experience a Dockweiler event. I got the 17th off for that event as well, and now its moved to sunday. Good thing i don't ever work sundays.

edwin, i said id stay out, but honestly cant, the times that have been had at dockweiler are beyond sponsors, icecream and a kids museum, or and old guy that wants me to buy his book.

Im along with others that agree, this sounds like a great, even fantastic event, but it's NOT dockweiler, i vote archies winter wonderland. Just say dockweiler is cancelled for this year and call it a day.

Jim i dont remember shit that far back but......... i use to have black and white small tv sets that had the twist dial uhf separtate from the main channel twist dial and all the tv channels use to sign off at midnight.

It says Dockweiler IV & ArchiesFest 2.0 combine to make a better bigger event for you, "the enthusiasts". Why is everyone getting all bent out of shape for the location or name?

Because you cancelled something that everybody was looking forward to and replaced it with something that isn't even close to the same. A daytime meet on a Sunday is going to be our big meet of the year? We as a community picked Dockweiler to begin with because that's where we felt was the best place to have this thing. You didn't ask anybody about this, you just changed things up and said deal with it. It doesn't feel like a community event anymore, it feels more like "Let's do what Edwin wants"
