Because you cancelled something that everybody was looking forward to and replaced it with something that isn't even close to the same. A daytime meet on a Sunday is going to be our big meet of the year? We as a community picked Dockweiler to begin with because that's where we felt was the best place to have this thing. You didn't ask anybody about this, you just changed things up and said deal with it. It doesn't feel like a community event anymore, it feels more like "Let's do what Edwin wants"

honestly a large portion of the community is just looking forward to free stuff, and things like drinking tecates low key in the pouring rain get lost in the wayside.

I never had a chance to see BIMMERFEST at the fairgrounds in S.B. and got to go to the polo field S.B. BIMMERFEST and now they have it at the rosebowl . Do people still show up . . . . . .YES !!!!!!!!!! Shit changes sometimes just roll with the punches and go have a great time.

I may or may not show up. Depending on whether or not I care enough and whether or not the conditions are good for surfing. Hell, I may even do both. We shall see. I'll add my name to this list.

Bimmerfest moved because it had to, not because someone got a random hair up their ass and decided to move it one day. Regardless, this isn't the same thing by any stretch.

That's what's great about Dockweiler. It's not trying to be the next Bimmerfest. It was all about the community, not corporate sponsorship. I don't have a problem with that in general, but there's a time and a place for it, and it isn't at Dockweiler. Archiesfest is a completely different monster, and there's nothing wrong with it. But it isn't Dockweiler. At the first Dockweiler you know what we had? A small Guten Parts raffle. Other than that it was hang out, drink some beers, and eat food that people were sharing.
