lol, too many walkies makes it a shit-show.

seems like there's always one troll who has to screw things up by doing burnouts, blasting music and racing everyone (i think we all remember last year)

still, 200+e30s on the valley fwys is a pretty cool sight.

So maybe what we should do is be on 2 channels? 1 for important stuff and the other for general chit chat?

Also... an easy way to combat a troll is to box em in.

wouldn't be ideal switching channels while driving. stick to one and make sure everyone knows not to mess around.

Good point, but I know a few people who will most likely spam the channel. Although last time their walkie talkie died half way up to the meet. In my opinion, the best use of the walkie talkies (when bored) during the caravan is making fun of ricers along the way up. Another good reason to have em is to call out if you see CHP and obviously for directions if we were getting off the freeway or what not. But here I'm stating the obvious. lol

I'm going to need a co-pilot for the camera / camcorder. One of my friends said he might be able to go, but I don't know if he'll get the day off or not.

On a serious note, anyone know of a good location around the Rose Bowl which we could use as a central meeting location so we can all cruise into the meet together?

i think it'll be less troublesome to run a slow main group and coordinate to absorb other caravans along the way.

roger that. I understand caravans will join us on the way up and that will be the best option. I was just going to see if we could coordinate with the northern cali guys enough so that we could all cruise in together when we get up to the Rose Bowl. If not they could just join our spot once they get there. Either way seeing 100+ e30s on the freeway is awesome.

the big san diego caravan always comes up from the UTC mall, and they leave crazy early in the morning so they can take the back roads there.

I'm trying to find a spot that would be good so all of the caravans could meet up in one central location and cruise in together as one big e30 caravan. A good amount of parking would required. If you know of a place can you attach the google maps link as well.

                                Thanks,

May I suggest the Hastings Ranch Shopping Center which is RIGHT off the freeway and/or the Santa Anita Fashion Park Shopping Center? Both very close to the 210 freeway and just far enough to not be in the flood of cars. :-)
