Here's a copy of the email btw:

    Dear Bimmerfest Groups,

Thank you for taking an interest in Bimmerfest 2012 California sponsored by HorsepowerFreaks Group Parking. We have arrange a special Group Parking area front and center at the show for you as well as a special entrance gate and time. This way you and your entire group can roll in park together and get situated before the gates open to the public. On the attached map you can see the special entrance gate we've setup and the Group Parking area highlighted in yellow.

Please organize a group meet-up location near, but not at, the Rose Bowl. Once your entire group is together drive in a group to the highlighted gate and inform the parking staff that you're arriving for group parking with X (approximate) number of cars. Each car will pay the $30 entrance fee and be guided to the group parking area by our parking staff. Space is limited so we will be able to hold spots for anyone not arriving with your group. We will also not permit any use of this space for promotion, please do not bring tents, promotional materials, etc.

The Group Parking gate will only be open from 7:00am to 8:00am, if you miss the gate time you will be turned away until the public show opens at 9am. Please help us make this go smoothly by organizing your group in advance. We want you to have a great Bimmerfest 2012, we've got a fantastic show lined up and are looking forward to you and your group being a part of it!

Any questions just let us know.

    See you May 19th,
Tim, Jon and Mark - The Bimmerfest Team

yikes... what's going on with your car?

And does 5:00 sound like a good time to leave in the morning? 5:30 being the latest we can leave so we can get group parking.

But definitely inb4 asphalt, that was super gay last year where we waited like 30mins to get into the asphalt only to move like an hour later -__-

Soo true on the getting there early. Cause that hole waiting 30min to 1hour crap was not cool I didn't even go back to move my car I left it on the asphalt. Hoping to get my wheels on that fresh grass this year.

all of this everyone wanting to make their own group isn't really all that cool, we should be figuring out how we can all have the biggest caravan possible.

i posted this in the SFV caravan thread, i makes perfect sense to me, but maybe im only seeing it one way, either way, we gotta figure this out quickly, we're a mere seven days away.

              SD I5 > picking up OC > 105 > S.Bay (105/405) > S.Oaks (405/101) > SFV (118/5) to the rosebowl.

N.Cal guys can merge up at 5/118 aswell to have the largest number of cars through the 210

i don't doubt that for those of us using the pacoima spot would mind waiting / adjusting times to accommodate for what would work best for everyone, as IMO should everyone, all the e30 guys pulling together for bimmerfest is bigger than everyone wanting to be cool with a small group of guys.

Theres bound to bee several meeting spots because of how spread out we all are, but it shouldn't be something that pulls us apart, we should just figure out how to make it work.

agreed but with this many people coming from different directions its going to get hectic along with departure/arrival times, parking fees, etc.

its a bit hectic yea, but if we can just designate lead cars, have those cars call the meet spots with a co-pilot it's not impossible. helps tons if people drive with sense, use signals, and drop the douche level for one morning drive.

oh two way radios, they help. We can have each caravan on a separate channel, with lead cars on a channel their own, so that information trickles down and less useless jabber goes on. just an idea, but two way radios are always a must.

This is the biggest concern right now, who's actually going to be there early because we want to be IN the rosebowl between 7 and 8. So the last intersection spot guys at SFV need to be there at like 7 lol.

Yeah me neither, but then again it's once a year. We're making the 2 hour drive so, I dont want to take all these detours and pick up like 5 people. People should just tough it up and up early haha. fuck it

it will definitely be more than 5 people. more than likely we'll have 10x that amount.

Um. I'm getting confused. Either way I'm in for the SD meetup. 6am is preferred but if I have to drag my ass out for 5:30 I will. I prefer mass caravan as well. Someone just tell me time and place.

Welcome to the last few pages. lol. Trust me... I was getting confused as well. As of now, the info on the 1st post stands. TLDR version is that we are debating whether or not to go early and get a group spot. Only thing is that it is $10 more for entry, making it $30. We have to be there at 8am at the latest or we can't make the group entrance. I think it's worth it since I won't be killing my clutch (assuming my car is back up and running) and we'll have a prime spot.
