UPDATE: The car has been sold. Don't worry, she went to another local forum member, hope to see her again some time.

Say what you want, I'm simply tired of keeping this thing on California roads. I just failed smog this morning and I only have 12 more days until registration is due. The car runs fine but I'm going to look at another car tomorrow. If I was about 5 years younger I would still be willing to invest the time that needed to keep my baby on the road. The body is in ok shape, has some dings here and there but the frame is straight. It does have a salvage title (unknown reason) the engine was replaced before I bought it 5 years ago and I have replaced almost everything on her. Obama will give me $1,000 for it but I'd rather give her back to the community.
Odometer was already stopped at 290k before I purchased about 5 years ago (kinda wished I had fixed it just to make a point of the reliability of these cars) Its been my daily driver and road trip the past 5 years (many trips to nor cal and Vegas with no problems)
Things I replaced:
- Suspension: Bilstien Sports, Low Tec 60/50 springs, Ireland Engineering adjustable front camber plates (corrected camber)
- Front wheel bearings
- Driveshaft assembly, It actually has a recently rebuilt large guibo shaft.
- Rear drive cv axles (passenger side cv boot is actually ripped currently)
- All cooling hoses
- Timing belt and water pump (about a year old)
- Fan clutch
- H1 / H4 headlights
- Unless I remove them it has newer tires on chrome bottlecaps
- Valve adjustment a few years ago
- Rear breaks
This car is ready to tackle the next 20 years on this planet I just don't have the time and effort to keep doing this. Maybe later on when I want a project car I may come back but I just don't want her to get scrapped.
