My M3 is on the chopping block. I purchased the car October 2010.
I bought the car from a member here, Matt aka MR 325.

The car is not perfect, but does run very well. It has never overheated on me or left me stranded in my ownership. I’m going to be up front and honest about everything on this car, just like Matt stated in his ad, this car won’t be winning any trophies, but is a damn good DD. The car actually belonged to Matt's old boss at the shop he used to work at. Matt was handling the sale as his boss wasn't on the forums. I’ve never auto crossed or tracked the car, but it would be a nice car to dedicate as a track rat.
As of right now the car has 214k, the tranny has ~180K, and the motor has ~50k. It is a salvaged titled car. Ive never looked into why it was salvaged, never really cared.
Previous Ownership
refreshed and rebuilt cylinder head along with all new intake seals, rebuilt Vanos unit, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, intake boot, air filter, radiator hoses, etc. new battery, rear shock mounts, and tie rod ends. I have paperwork documenting the work done from the shop.

-February 2011- 5 Speed Swap done at Ryan GMW in Auburn, CA.
Tranny had 150k prior to the swap
New Clutch installed with the tranny

-VANOS Oil Feed Line done at the same time as tranny swap
-Regular 3-5k Oil Changes
-December 2010 New/Unused DDM Coilovers
-March 2011 Turner Stage 2 Kit

ITG filter (needs replacing)

*I smogged with this setup on, it passed with flying colors in Jan 2012. There is a carb sticker on the strut tower but it is for a DINAN CAI…

Known Issues
-Car needs paint, it cleans up pretty well, but will need paint to look great. Car looks good 5-10ft away.
-Locks are finiky, passenger side door works the best, I use that door to unlock the car.
-Ignition tumbler went out, I insert the key into the ignition tumbler, and use a separate key to turn the ignition switch to turn the car on/off. (250-300$ replacement)
-Power steering motor just started to moan last week, it is on its way out
-Needs an alignment
-Rear tires are bald, I can provide 30% replacements to get you around. Fronts are about 60%.
-Passenger side window doesn’t have the “inching” problem, but it takes ~5 times via one touch to go up all the way. If you hold the button it rolls up perfectly fine.
-Vader seats are garbage…they work mechanically though.
-1 License plate and tail light is out
-Not really an issue, but the transmission light is on, it is because it doesn’t have the auto tranny anymore. You could just yank the bulb out.
-Driver side door seal could be replaced.
It’s pretty late so I probably have forgotten some things. Ill pull out my records and add to the list soon as well as take some better pictures.
As for price, I purchased the car for 4400$ a little over a year ago and it was completely stock minus the head unit. I realize mods etc etc don’t help resale value and its not in perfect shape. Im just going to start at 5k but I am accepting offers. I have a figure in my head of what I realistically want out of it. The motor runs very strong. Like I said, this is a perfect track rat candidate or just a fun little DD car. I drive it everyday.
Trades: Looking for a V6 SUV, cash on top from my end is possible.
Please, leave your comments to yourself about the price, I am not an idiot. Offer up via PM. If I don’t get what I need out of it then Ill just keep it and maybe swap the drive train into an e30 down the road and junk the shell.

I moved the HVAC down to where the sunglass cubby thing was to make room for a double din but I have abandoned plans to do that. I was planning to reverse what I did before I sold it. I am currently looking for a new cubby piece and the lower dash part if anyone has one for sale, I can include the replacements in the sale or try to finish it before it is sold.

When I got the straight pipes welded up, the guy welded on the stock muffler tips for me. Later that night one of them randomly snapped off as you can see here:
