Well my car is auto so that would be a little extra. Where is everyone getting their s52 from. There's a engine on Craigslist for 1800 and 400 for the tranny.

Well yeah but then you have to get a driveshaft, and a shift linkage, and a diff, and figure out your exhaust, do the brake booster, convert to obd1 or get all the obd2 stuff... It's a little more involved than just bolt motor in.

S52 are best found on CL. Hearing it run first is a plus. I've bought 2 s52 from CL and both have been good to go.

The s50 I bought off r3v ended up having a blown HG rite off the bat, shady CHP seller from Santa Barbara sold it to me.

getting some idea of the oil consumption is a good idea too. otherwise you end up with your thumb fully and firmly in your ass like someone..
