My m3/4/5 just tipped over 235k today. Still runs ok, though I do think about rebuilding the motor soon here. Might have Igor at Catuned do it.

Hey, anyone have a recommendation for a shop to replace the bearings and seals in my Getrag 260? Ideally looking for a place around San Jose or San Mateo…Thanks!

last issue I needed a shop for, I went to a place near my work-

                              bimmers bmw service

shop rate is a little pricey, but i was happy with how they appreciated a modified car rather than the usual sideways look of "what the hell have you done here"

I went to a place out in West San Jose, they didn't want to repair my Getrag 265, so found a rebuilt one out of Oregon. Turned out it had a noisy center bearing.

My next one I took to Eric at Suspension Performance (they are across from Edge and next to Dinan) to replace synchros. (I haven't used this transmission yet.

My mechanic, Robert at Lazlo's AKA Euro Auto, has a friend in San Mateo that rebuilds manual transmissions.
