Heh. Army doesn't trust soldiers with those. Funny.

Vivek, I'm surprised to hear you say that- Z3 1.9 shifter and new bushing and mine has been great for years, I can shift with my hand, not my arm, and otherwise I don't think about it.

You could just come to my house and I'll get you set up

I might as well offer.. All my other lazy friends come to me, so why not. I've done like 7 changes in the last 2 months; either I'm way too nice, or the leverage I have over them for all this free labor is gonna be killer down the road

                  You decide :nice:

I saw a thread about a guy with a 24v saying that his Z3M wouldn't fit, I asked him if he'd sell it. Got it for $45 shipped. Front bushings were garagistic $15, rear bushing was from brent-something on this forum. $10 I think I paid for it. I didn't have a stock shifter before, I had something similar to a Z3 1.9. I'd say that the difference between Z3m and Z3 1.9 is similar to the difference between 1.9 and stock e30.

Surprised to hear me say what? It's notchy and will take some getting used to, but I really, really like it.

That's what I'm thinking. $130 can be spent better than on a selector rod that's really not gonna help much. I've felt your shifter on your vert, and while it's better than mine...meh I can spend that money more effectively. It's not $130 better imo.

Also, do I need sold/poly tranny mounts with solid shift bushings? The shift carrier isn't going anywhere without something breaking. But it doesn't feel like anything's moving too much...my OE rubber mounts have ~5k on them.

The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Far from it. I have the least amount of charm with the ladies and I'm not exactly smooth. I say screw it; don't really care no mo'. Time to drink my black coffee and work the graveyard shifts

Frankly, the offers out for anyone really. I got no job and a very open schedule at school. Working on my e30 and going to the gym is what I do to stay sane. When work on my e30 is slow, and I really don't have much else to do except sit inside like a turd and play video games, I'd prefer to challenge myself to do something a little more... Socially engaging and rewarding; you know, to stay sharp
