Exhaust = On

I ghetto rigged the little rubber mount spot in the back. The rubber was horrible, so I put a hose clamp and tightened it. Exhaust hardly moves now. sweett.

Other problems to address though, OIl leak from head to block. Front corner by the spark plug. This sucks. I have less than 30 miles on this thing. brand new head gasket and bolts. Should I try tourqing down that one side a little or just let it leak?

Haha, I did that exact same thing. I think it was a bit too tight and maybe I didn't tighten the two bolts enough after the resonator (M42 exhausts are slightly different) so eventually the back end of the exhaust twisted a little bit and now hits the heat shield over larger bumps and when ABS kicks in..need to adjust that. Also, the hose clamp completely disappeared, so i put the rubber back on. I needed the hose clamp for the adjustability to make my exhaust tip straight, and I may need it again when I straighten the exhaust because it may be out of adjustment again.

But anyways I've been working on my Borbet's all day and they're lookin pretty damn good.

Mine is straight, just the mounting parts are sub-par.

Only thing holding it up was the muffler straps.

Yep, I don't think it's possible for a dual pipe to twist the way mine did. I just need to loosen the bolts and adjust it.

The touring has all of it's gears again. Got a hair up my ass and got underneath the car at 10:30 and got sh!t fixed! Now I just need to fix the window and I have my daily back. Haha.

Tried to replace my guibo and csb today. Got the exhaust off and everything, but after removing all the bolts in the guibo I can't seem to get the driveshaft off the transmission. Are there any tricks to it?

I have a feeling that thread will come in handy for reinstall, but it doesn't really rell me much about removal.

Edit: Might have figured out what I'm doing wrong. I'll give it another shot tomorrow after work.
