Just got done with doing an s50 swap in my e30, so the old M42 is for sale.
Motor has approximately 210k miles (odometer broke at 178k), but still ran strong when pulled out of my car. It is 99.9% complete, I just ended up using the power steering hoses on my swap as well as one of the temp senders from the head. You may need another few odds and ends, but nothing major. It has a complete, uncut harness, ECU, P/S pump, A/C compressor, alternator, etc. Just changed out the timing chain tensioner a couple thousand miles ago for maintenance as well. I have an engine stand I can include with the motor if interested.
I have a complete exhaust system for the car as well (manifolds, midpipe with cats and exhaust). The catback has a Magnaflow 14816 muffler on the end of it, but there are some scrapes and blemishes on the underside of the muffler and tips. Just passed smog with flying colors last year, so no worries there.
Also have the open 4.10 differential from the 318i. Swapped out for a 3.73 LSD on my swap, so I have no use for it anymore.
Also have the 5-speed driveshaft from the 318i, but no CSB as I used it on my swap. Also have a good condition guibo I can include if interested.
Complete M42 with harness, ECU and acces. - $250 (+$40 if interested in engine stand)
Complete exhaust system - $200
4.10 Differential - $100
Driveshaft - $50
