SFV Bimmerfest Caravan

Sooooo, what is your guy's route to the Rose Bowl? I thought this was closer to the 210 so we can all roll down that for a bit. Maybe you guys could pick a location closer to the 5 or 210 possibly so the SD+OC caravan doesn't break off into the 101 or wherever you guys want to meet. Just my .02, i think a straight shot down the 5 then a loop around the 210 is the easiest for errbody to coordinate and stuff.

The sfv meet spot IS righ off the 5/210 fwy junction, although with as many cars as last year we may need a bigger lot, or just fine tune out coordination to just meet up on the fwy, most people have two way radios right?

This is what im trying to figure out lol.It'd be easier it was by the 5/210. The SD and OC caravans are heading up the 5 and to the 210, also we're gonna be rolling by there at 8am. If not i guess we'll just see you guys at the fest.

I think most of us might be down, lotta people are now considering leaving early to get better parking spots. I think we'll be changing our departure to 530AM to hopefully be passing the 101 and 170 intersections around 715ish, that's probably when i would call one of you guys because that intersection is about 8minutes away from the your Best Buy location, will probably call ahead of that though because people always lag getting to there cars lol.

right now the issue is that this thread's meetup spot is 20-30 minutes from the pacoima/best buy location, and that group wants to leave from there 15 minutes before this one.

my house is right at the 170 off ramp @ burbank. PM me your number that way we can keep it contact as this gets closer. I can wait for you guys off the freeway and we can cruise down to the Best Buy location from there.

here's the deal. If we are going to make the group entrance the latest the SD caravan has to leave is at 5:30am. That being said, we'd have to meet up with you guys, get a head count for the number of cars, and then go into the event. The parking staff expects a headcount of everyone who's going to be there. Therefore we MUST get an estimate of how many people will be in the Caravan as we cruise in.

Here's a copy of the email for reference:

Dear Bimmerfest Groups,

Thank you for taking an interest in Bimmerfest 2012 California sponsored by HorsepowerFreaks Group Parking. We have arrange a special Group Parking area front and center at the show for you as well as a special entrance gate and time. This way you and your entire group can roll in park together and get situated before the gates open to the public. On the attached map you can see the special entrance gate we've setup and the Group Parking area highlighted in yellow.

Please organize a group meet-up location near, but not at, the Rose Bowl. Once your entire group is together drive in a group to the highlighted gate and inform the parking staff that you're arriving for group parking with X (approximate) number of cars. Each car will pay the $30 entrance fee and be guided to the group parking area by our parking staff. Space is limited so we will be able to hold spots for anyone not arriving with your group. We will also not permit any use of this space for promotion, please do not bring tents, promotional materials, etc.

The Group Parking gate will only be open from 7:00am to 8:00am, if you miss the gate time you will be turned away until the public show opens at 9am. Please help us make this go smoothly by organizing your group in advance. We want you to have a great Bimmerfest 2012, we've got a fantastic show lined up and are looking forward to you and your group being a part of it!
