    Borrow: Oil filter wrench 86mm

Does anyone have the oil wrench tool? It's for the e90s. My channel locks are too small to get it off.

    Thanks

Count the flutes and pick that way. Most shops let you walk out make to make sure it fits.

I ended up going to Sears and purchase/return the 16" channel locks.
        Used paper towel around it.

You're freakin' lame. Just like all those fucks that used to go into Costco right before the Super Bowl, buy some huge-ass TV, and then return it after the game because their return policy was so lax. What happens? They tighten their return policies, making it harder for people that want to return things for legitimate reasons.

So are you going to do the same thing again the next time you need to change your oil? You could have just gone to the parts store and bought a proper filter wrench for $10 and owned it. What a loser.

Do this all the time with cars from dealers when I have an important meeting to attend and I need a nice looking car. Carmax has a 5 day return, no questions asked.
