    Any paint guys here!?!

Can any of you guys paint the upper portion of my diamond schwartz fender?
The shops back in my home town said that I have to paint my entire fender... can any of you guys do it w/o painting the whole thing?
    Please PM me!
Norcal/Socal doesn't matter for the best price. I live in San Diego but will be moving back to the bay area for the summer in a month.

It literally makes no sense to just paint the top half. If in fact you were set on spraying just the top half, then the paint guy would charge you extra to blend the paint from the new color to the existing paint. Just do the whole fender with one fell swoop.

any painter will likely tell you to paint the entire fender too. what you are requesting is an open blend and its more work than to just paint the entire fender. sure the clear coat is peeling off but I guarantee you the exposed black paint is probably degraded so it won't serve as a good base for the new clear coat to even stick on.

is your car a schwarz or diamond schwarz? If its the former, you can get away with a single stage paint and just polish it shiny

i'm sure some spot repair guy could hook u up, feather out the clear and then soft edge tape up to the swage line and clear up to that. although ur better off clearing the whole panel. u might not get a perfect colour match though. ideally you'll want to blend out into the door and clear the door and the wing.

Yeah fuck my life I think I'll just wait to get the whole car resprayed.
That will have to wait since this one is getting reborn first!!

Gutting it down to bone as soon as I get home...
