Willkommen und Gruss Gott! Make sure you check the route along the coast. It winds back and forth and will take you a while. It is two lanes in some places and if you get stuck behind a slow moving car or traffic, it will take you a while to drive from LA towards SF or vice versa, so plan accordingly. I love Germany and used to live there near Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bad Windsheim. My aunt lives in Munchen and I visit her every once in a while. Not aware of any meets in Northern CA in July.
