Good place to get AC work done / recharge

Summer obviously is here, and my AC doesn't work. Anyone have a place they recommend? Most likely the car still has R12 so it's going to need to get converted. I've been reading on the forums that is really important to make sure the new R134 is filled properly or else the AC may not blow as cold?

Seems to be mixed reviews really. Some people say it's because our car is designed for R12 and therefore isn't as efficient when using R134...etc. Anyway...how much should this cost too? I called one place and they said about $200 for everything.

Meh - I bought 4 cans of r12 on Craigslist for $20 and a $6 fill hose off eBay. Be adventurous - you're not going to be the straw that breaks the ozone's back.

It's this mentality that got us in the ozone mess in the first place.
