Well i talked to Mike today at HRE, i think they're sending em out this week. I would still go lol, they said there's going to be 500-800 people. So wtf? I've emailed them several times with no response, didn't know if I was accepted so I didn't book the hotel-which has doubled in price now, so I will not be going. Since I haven't heard a word, I opened up a PayPal dispute. It's not about the $50, it's their lack of communication and organization that ruined this event for many.Leave a comment:

Hey so what are your guys plan for housing? Do any of you live in the area, or are getting a hotel? I'd be down to go all out and throw down on something like THIS or if anyone's willing to let me and my photographer Watson Lu (5D Mark II) crash for a night? I can supply cash, grass, dinner, drinks, and the comedic company of two allies. I don't like the idea of driving down, then back up immediately.
Haha i'm probably driving back to SD later that day. However, im gonna maybe hit up some people in the SLO area. But at this point it doesn't even seem like many people are going lol.

Yeah but the Avila La Fonda is straight boss.
Get a room on Friday, spend the day exploring SLO. Maybe get some drinks, etc. Then crash and go to the car show.
Or get a room Saturday and do above mentioned that night after the car show.
If people are interested I might just book it.
Bring a sleeping bag for the floor: $50 or $100 for a bed.
Not a bad deal considering it's almost $400 a night.Leave a comment:

The hampton inn in pismo beach, or grover (?) is pretty inexpensive, new, and has a fat parking lawt.
I stayed there a few weeks ago en route.
FML i've driven back-and-fourth norcal-socal 6 times in the last 2 months. :(Leave a comment:
