The time was set not for light but for people to be able to make it to the meet. When it was early last year, there was no one there til like 430 and the meet started at 2! People have to get off of work in order to go and the usual time people get off of work is between 3 and 5. Last year people were showing up at 6 or later when people started leaving. 4 hours is a long time to stay at a meet anyway but last year, after four hours it was only 6pm. This year it'll be 9pm. Makes more sense to me. The first Dockweiler started even later IIRC. Who needs daylight anyway?

Pack up your warm clothes and come out!
