Did you buy a Chinese radiator? lol. But that sucks dude, demand a refund and have em install a proper OEM one.

Anyways... I'm going to show up a little before 10am to help get everything set up but I have to leave early since I need to be at a meeting with the Comic Con board of directors at 12:30.

And did anyone set up a Facebook event for this yet?

I have no idea what the shop I had replace it ordered, but it was well over $400 for the radiator and labor.

Anybody have a radiator for a 1994 530i Manual Trans they could bring to the Picnic? And help me install there? lol that would be nice but if I can't get the radiator replaced tomorrow I don't think I'll make it. =(

just call the shop and tell them that it took a massive poop on you and you want your moolah back or a new rad.

reputable shops will stand behind the work and parts they put in, a lot of times the parts store eats up the cost. Give that shop a call and ask, you can't lose by calling, hope you get that sorted tomorrow.

Sorry guys, been kinda absent. Can we maybe put together a list of things people can* bring (stuff that isn't already listed)? Also, I believe we had a shortage of buns last year? Maybe I can bring some hamburger/hot-dog buns?

Dang. Sorry bro. You could have bought a Mishimoto with complete silicone hose kit for that much. Ask for a refund or new OEM one.

Yeah they should provide at least a year on the parts/labor and the manufacturer should provide some type of warranty to cover manufacturing defects at minimum. Maybe it was damaged during shipping or something.

A brand new behr is around $200 and can be installed with a flathead. You can use an auto 530/540 radiator for the time being if necessary but if you got raped that much for the install I would take it back and demand they fix it.

That's why I install shit myself - so I know the parts that go in and if something fails it's my fault alone. You start to trust your own work.

Shop monkeys aren't special, they're dudes like you and me.

I know I've replaced my radiator before but it was in the shop for other work and my dad was paying for it and told them to do it. I told my dad I could do it myself but he wanted the shop to do it. He seems to think that shop monkeys are something special and that I might break things when I know I won't. I rebuilt the cylinder head on my e30 with Google for Christ's sake.
