I think in our particular cars case, it would come down to driver and if the road/track was like Mullholland, or Willow. Me and Doug walked 2 E36 ///M3s on Mullholland that were modded and decent drivers a few years back. I dont exaggerate, we walked them. Rarely do I use that word. So calm down, son.
