    Norcal Megasquirt help

    Hey guys,

Looking for some help (willing to pay) getting my megasquirt install finished up by someone local who is truly a guru. This isnt for my e30, but for my OBDII Ford Probe GT. Had my old OBDI PGT megasquirted, but the setup is different for OBDII and I'm having trouble with it. Anyone on here that can give me a hand?

    Thanks!

Ive got it all wired, but for some reason its not getting a tach signal. I had it wired passively to make sure I had all the sensors hooked up correct, but when I went to hardwire the injectors in place, I came back to no tach signal? I really haven't put a lot of work into diagnosing it as Megasquirt frustrates the crap out of me!

MSextra forums are probably where you want to post.

A scratch install of MS takes lots of study. I'm no where near Norcal, so I can't show up to help diagnose. There are several settings, including some hardwire pot switches that may need to get dialed in for specific sensors. Check this page. http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/vradjust.htm and this page. http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_arti...t_vr_index.htm

You are not in over your head, but if you expect to have everything working by the end of the weekend, on you first solo install, you will be sadly mistaken. However, a full plug-n-play system that is preprogrammed, is a cake walk.

Well its not a scratch install as there is some documentation on the probe forums, but OBDII has much less info than OBDI and diagnosing electronics is NOT my strong suit.

The probe community actually has quite a bit of experience with MS as some of our members were the first to get into the MS game and work over at DIY, alas our forums are running dry and Im basically the only proboner (see what I did there!) running MS in all of California.

Ill post on the forums as suggested... just saw there were a number of people running MS on here and a pretty active local community and was hoping I could find someone in the know.

        Thanks
