Black / Yellow 60s Vanity Plates

The DMV started offering 60s style license plates again for $50. You don't need to have a 60s car to get them. Just a heads up, I just ordered one.

Thats lame. It should only be for cars between '63 and '69. Otherwise, what's the point? A black plate clearly doesn't belong on anything other than cars made between those years. Before '63, yellow and black, after '69 blue and yellow. Period, end of discussion.

I'll be in line when they re-do the "golden state" sun graphic.

I wonder if they will charge the same to get black/yellow replacement plates for my 67 vw that already has black/yellow. They're just beat.

There is a website that used to make Ca. Plate replicas but they stipped making cali plates. Period correct plates would be nice.

Black / Yellow 60s Vanity Plates

They are offering them because there's a huge interest/demand for them. They held a survey to gauge interest in the 60s plate style.

Guess they want more money. Frankly I don't care that I'm putting a 60s plate on an 80s car. Looks sweet.
