I think most of us are meeting at the SANDPIPER LODGE on state street before the show so we can roll in as a R3V group. So if we stick together, we should still get "close" seats, hehe.

Dear Bimmer Enthusiast:


Bimmerfest is finally here; we hope you are as excited about this Saturday as we are! The biggest and best BMW show in all of North America is upon us once again and is featuring some great sponsors such as

Please review the items below including a few reminders about entering the show and conduct the day of the show.

Friday Night Pre-Bimmerfest Dinner We are extremely excited about the 60+ people that are coming out for the pre-Bimmerfest dinner this year. If you signed up, you should have received an email with instructions on what you will need at the door for the dinner. If you did not receive that email, please let us know ASAP.

Show Hours on Saturday The official hours for Bimmerfest 2008 Santa Barbara are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year there is also an early entry option which is outlined below. Make sure you have $20.00 with you when approaching the showgrounds to help keep traffic flowing into the showgrounds. If you arrive before 9:00 AM and do not wish to pay for early entry, you will need to continue circling the streets around the showgrounds until 9:00 AM; you will NOT be able to line up in any way at the showgrounds. Please arrive at 9:00 AM or later if at all possible.



Early Entry on Saturday
Every year people ask how to be assured they will get a good spot or how to ensure they will be judged for the Battle of the Bimmers. This year, you will be able to enter the showgrounds from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM for a premium cost of $40.00 per car. This extra cost is ONLY for early entry. If you arrive prior to 9:00 AM you will be required to either leave the showgrounds and surrounding roadways or pay the $40.00 fee.

Gates for Entry -- Follow the signs! When arriving at Bimmerfest 2008, please follow the signs placed along Calle Real to the correct gate for entry. Certain gates may be closed at times during the day to manage traffic flow into the show.


Opportunity Drawing
The Opportunity Drawing this year is once again supporting the Unity Shoppe of Santa Barbara and includes some great prizes such as a One-Day Driving School ($650 Value) at the Performance Center Driving School in South Carolina, a set of tires from Falken Tire, a TomTom Navigation unit, iPod, Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kits and much more! Make sure you purchase your tickets at the main Bimmerfest booth the day of the show for your chance to win some of the thousands of dollars worth of prizes!

Food, Alcohol, etc.
Food will be available from the Earl Warren food vendors the day of the show. We have pressed them more and more to ensure they have more stations available for you to purchase food/drinks/snacks with short lines. You are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages or any illegal substances with you to the showgrounds. Please help keep the event fun for everyone!

Listen to announcements throughout the day by our MC as they will include items such as hourly prizes, presentation times / locations and much more important information.
