George: Last year we were not allowed to BBQ or have outside food even tho we payed money to be there.. The food vendor lines were out of control and the food was over priced. SO I'd plan on eating elsewhere during the event.

Matt, Mariano, Mot, etc, wtf, anybody.. Do you guys figure out a motel yet? We'll need one with several rooms left available so most if not all of us that want to chill together can get a room in the same complex instead of having to drive to meet up all the time (Like Clay, myself, and John out in the boondocks in comparison). I'm going to have to just tag along with someone (Clay and John again?) for a room, because I'm going to be damn near, or completely broke-as-fuck going down there =/.

Have any of you tested the waters with that motel 6 on State St yet? How was that for you guys last year for those of you who stayed there? I'd be down to all pack into some rooms there if possible.

By now, most if not all of the adjecent motel and hotels will be booked for that weekend. I called a few weeks ago and tried to get a few rooms for my friends but they said they were all booked up at a few of them. I asked them if it was booked for a wedding or something and they said
,"no, bimmerfest." I laughed my ass off. I only called two and I can remember which ones they were but the hotels and motels in Santa Barbara definately know that bimmerfest is in town that weekend.

Just FYI.

I love living 20 minutes from SB.

To all the guys driving up from the south. We can meet up in Oxnard or Ventura. Its right on the way for you guys and there are plenty of huge parking lots that we can all meet up at. That way we have about 30 miles to take pictures or to pick other people up. This would work out really well for the guys coming from the south. There will already be a group of about 15-20 E30s waiting if you guys think this would be cool. That way, there will be a HUGE caravan of E30s rolling together.

If this works for you guys, let me know and we can all set up a time and place to meet.

I'm at the Motel 6 on State. Try and see if they have any rooms open. I booked early January and it was the only place I could find for that weekend, ha. Try it out.

If you do get in there, let me know! I'm coming from Wisconsin (first timer) with five other guys.

Otherwise, um yeah. I'm holding onto some hope the motel 6 on state st still has something available. It was a squeeze to get 3 of us into a room last time where we stayed, but that was a small ass room too. I'm going to try to see what Clay has found out, then I'll be going from there. I don't want to commit to rooming with people when there only may be a small room left. I'd like to be able to spread out a little bit and not be too overcrowded or anything. Still roughing out the details...

I booked a double queen room. I think those are kinda big. If anyone needs a place to stay, you could probably room with us. I'm sure there would be room for one more in there.
