    TOTAL RECALL
An 8 hour Monte Carlo style Road Rally
    April 12, 2008
ALL LEGAL VEHICLES WELCOME. ALL PAVED ROADS. NO SPECIAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.

Everybody likes to drive the back roads. You know, those beautiful two-lanes sweeping through miles and miles of open country? What if somebody put together the best roads they could find into a kind of giant board game with your car for a game piece and the landscape for a board? This is not a race. However, opportunities for spirited driving will abound. All timing is set at or below posted speed limits. Paved roads only. 2 people per car (driver and navigator) are strongly suggested. Event runs rain or shine.

There are 4 classes: Beginner, Novice, Regular, and Expert. We suggest you bring a clipboard, pen, paper, 3 different colored highlight markers, and a good digital clock that allows you to set the seconds. (A stopwatch is not the best choice.) Binoculars, calculator, and hiking compass, if available, are also helpful.

The entry fee for this event is only $25 per car. Entry is FREE if either driver or navigator is a first time entrant. All entries must bring vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and driver's license to Start. For more details on this rally, or rallying in general, browse our website at www.itnrally.org.

That sounds like so much fun.

Maybe we should set one up here. There are tons of roads just perfect for a non-race like this. Get some pics of the setup, would you please?

        Check out the website: www.itnrally.org

They have maps and directions, as well as photos from previous events. Should give you a pretty good idea how the events are set up.

I ran with ITN last year with a friend of mine for the Training Wheels event. Let me tell you that this is one of the best ways to get intimate with your car. They take you through roads that you couldn't even dream about. Pure driving sex. However, 8+ hours is a lot of driving so it's not for everyone. It also kind of sucks for the navigator unless they really like doing it. Anyway, I just wanted to chime in and express how much fun I had with this road rally. I was going to go two weeks ago until I realized how far it was and that I was incredibly low on cash. Does anyone have Pictures from the event? When they have another one closer to home we should enter a r3vlimited rally team.
