LA Area Smog Legal Cars? Fellow E30 needs your help

    Hey guys,

I've got a turbo E30 in the works and I'm hoping someone in the LA area with a smog legal E30 might be able to help me out. If you would like to be a part of getting a turbo E30 street car out onto the pavement and hitting the track at Irwindale, please shoot me a PM. There is a shop that is going to help me with the Registration and Smog, but I need someone else with a fully legal car to make a run or two on a dyno one afternoon to make it possible.

I'll offer up rides in the car once it's done and do my best to repay you for your time.

HAHA, JK. I would do it for you, but I got a 4banger.

I have 3 smog legal E30's I have access to, but you're too far away from me. Not only that, but I don't know that I'd want to be involved with something like that when it's been broadcast over the 'net. :D

dude, i got a connect, $200 or $250 to pass you because it's turbocharged. that's how my friends are able to pass all of their sr-20DET, rb26DET, etc... swapped motors on the s13s and hachirokus...

if you had an M20 with a straight pipe, it's around $120-$150

if we did a group smog check to pass everyone, then i can get the price down to $100 per car, but we'll need to bring at least 10 cars

OR you can use my car, if you let me drift yours at the balcony in willow springs and then HTM, (~.^)

sorry i live in san diego. but they are out there. you'd be surprised. i took my m5 to be smogged and the idiot tech couldnt get an accurate rpm signal. he kept arguing with me about how all bmw's are COP.

Wow, the price is based on your mod list? That makes sense...

basically, they are hustlers so you just got to bargain (you don't even want to know what ethnicity they are, jk, haha). based on your comment, it sounds like you may know other places that does not care about mod lists or what not..... am i missing something...? any suggestions or recommendations, sir?

That's how my guy is too

                        $225 for OBD-I cars
                        $350 for OBD-II cars
tack on $75 if your car seems to be pushing ridiculous power
and tack on $75 if you don't want to bother leaving your bedroom, you can do it with a phonecall
tack on another $75 if you drive something other than a POS (E36 M3 and higher standards)
