    Cheap Labor for R3V Members

For those of you who don't work on your own cars, but want to save a little cash on things like maintenance and mod installs, send me a PM and maybe I can help.

For those who don't know me, my name is Brian Eyerman. I'm currently enrolled in UTI and have about a year left if all goes as planned. In the mean time, I have been selling my services to Lotus enthusiasts and wanted to extend this to the BMW community since that is where my roots lie.

I have been a BMW owner for around 4 years now. My personal car is a 1991 M5. I am a BMWCCA San Diego chapter member and have been for around 4 years as well. My goal is to finish UTI, move on to STEP and become a certified BMW tech.

I have done a lot of work on BMW's as well as Lotus. Some of the larger projects consist of:

e30 automatic to manual transmission swap
    differential swap
    suspension swap
    head rebuild
    m20 valve adjustment
    s38 valve adjustment
    s14 valve adjustment
HID install (pm me for more details)
Lotus Supercharger Installs as well as just about every aftermarket part and maintenance item you can do on the Elise and Exige.

I put over 500 hours in labor when I built this car.

I currently live in Rancho Cucamonga by the 10 and 15 interchange but am also open to driving to your location.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers,

    Brian Eyerman

I've had several requests for my twin brother to go east. Unfortunately he rides the short bus. :-(

Tranny swap is a BIG job. I could possibly do it in the garage up here, but the one I did was at home in Fallbrook on a lift. I'd expect to pay anywhere from $500-$1000 in parts depending on your hook up, and I would probably charge in the $500 range off the top of my head for labor. If you are serious, we could talk about it a bit more and I could re-think the time and price, but from my past experience, I am going to look a lot harder for a manual car for my self in the future. ;-) I can also ask my friend what he just paid for his e36 swap and get back to you.

Farbin: What kind of shop did you run? Give me a call some time if you wanna chat.

          Cheers,

          Brian

My friend who just had his tranny swap done on an e36 said for that car, you can expect to pay around $2200 for labor.

You still doing HID kits too? I saw your post over on socalE30. I might have buyers for a couple more 55w kits.

FWIW, I remember someone was quoted around $1800 to have an E30 swap done down at TNG. That was all new parts except the trans, IIRC.

I was running a Honda/Acura Specialist, and, a Transmission Shop at the same time. I'll hit you up sometime, I'm interested in a
                    gander at your M5.

Tim: I am doing HID sales again with new prices. If you sweet talk me, I may be willing to throw in some installs. My swap is just labor. Maybe if I collect some parts I will have an occasional complete package together.

Farbin Kaiber: The M5 is in a sad dust covered state right now, but your more then welcome to come out some time and check it out. I just got an AC Schnitzer wing to add to my collection of ACS parts. Some day maybe I'll be able to put everything on and start driving it again!

                      Cheers,

                      Brian

BTW, TNG is a GREAT shop that I would highly recommend if you are in their area!

Jbs: That is a HUGE project, but I would be willing to help. Not sure even how to begin pricing out that one though. Give me a call some time and we can talk about it though if you are serious.
