Simi Valley Bi-Weekly Meeat and Greet

This is cool little bi-weekly meet that a guy named Duane opens his shop for questions and answers, food, car talk and most of all, just to get to know some new people. I went to the last meet and I had a blast. Food was good, cars were sweet. There could have been more BMWs representing down there though. Only two, mine and an e36 M3. There's plenty of parking so feel free to head down and hang out.

Bernie usually has something on the projector. We shall see what it is this time.

It was a very good time with some very cool people.

So if you can make it out that would be awesome. The next one is this Wednesday at about 7:30 to 8 o'clock. You wont regret it.

I want to rescue a car and make a detailed build thread on it. Maybe an 86 eta. Haha

Just the rubber molding of the rear bumper, little modifications required (which included zipties for me that are hidden by the shrouds) its an awesome mod, I am working on some little led blinkers so when i get a lip i can delet the stock blinkers.

                  How was the meet?

Are they going to be working on cars or just hanging out? I need to have my air/fuel mixture and timing tweaked on the vdub.

I bet the owner would help you out for sure. He is way chill. It wouldn't hurt to go and ask while you're there.

That's a lot of gas money to ask a question.

Well you wouldn't be going just for that. Ask a few questions, see if he'll mess with it and then enjoy the company and eat some food.

I had the person who built my engine look at it. So far the the distributor was installed backwards (not by me) and the the #3 and 4 cylinders have only 30psi. I disconnected the injector on # 3 and there was now change in idle or revs. Slight stlll in # 4 so i'm thinking the fuel varnished inside the injectors frozen open. I'll soak them in solvent, swap the injectors, and clean out the lines and see if that clears anything up. I can't afford new vavles even if its only 4 of them.
