Well, there is a big ass fire, jumped out of the mountians, across the 210 freeway, and is now taking out neighborhoods. Hope any of the SFV guys are okay.

It's jumping into regular city areas now, it's being wind carried into Chatsworth.

Err Farbin should I be worried? I still have no spatial understanding of the LA area.

We are safe bro. Its about 20+ miles to the NNW of us. The Santa Ana's (winds fueling the fire) come from inland and blow out to the sea. They are blowing the fires in a southwest direction.

Side note, there is enough wind blowing in an irregular, seasonal direction causing the beaches at Catalina Island to be non existant, along with huge waves blasting their coast.

That's it, it was your fault.

But, really. A fire of that size will create it's own weatherfronts, aside from the fact that this is some crazy Canada air coming down on us.

i remember when those giant fires came all the way into glendora a couple years ago man. the weather was fuxzored for a while after that.

hopefully the fire in sfv gets contained soon enough, i dont want a repeat billion acre fire in california again.
