Yeah.

It turns out the steering rack leaks a shitload, so it looks like I'll be installing an e36 rack pretty soon. Not looking forward to it, I remember it being some what of a pain on my last e30 with a lift. It's gonna suck on jack stands.

Here's one quick picture of it from today when I was working on it.

Today I started cleaning it up by removing all the unused amp and stereo cables that were routed all around the car. There must have been at least 3 separate sub/amp installs in this car without any removal of the previous one.
This is what I ended up pulling out.

One of the wires I traced up to the front to find a pretty rigged car alarm system. I started to remove it and reattach the wires, but ran out of time. It's such a mess and I have no idea what half the wires are, so I think I might just stuff it all back up under the steering wheel and save it for later.

Once I'm done with finals next week, I'll be able to really put some time into it and start fixing it up.

LOL my m3 had similar problems. Bunch of fuckin wires all over the place. Audio system was a mess for about a month. It's finally working again. I want a new sub/box setup though. The current one I have isn't what I really want
