    That area is gorgeous!

    SC*AR (Schwarz Army)
No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

yeah that is pretty nice... i think this drive could just be a saturday or somethin, i mean, get up early, get there, have lunch, do the drive, have an early dinner and come back.

for those guys that have already been there, thanks for the tips

i think we should get like, 10 guys together for this, keep it kinda low-key

Low key as in like no one doing big smoky burnouts, or triple the speed limit?

The drive in Montana is likely gonna be summer 2010...but I will certainly post when it goes down!

About this norCal drive though...any dates?

        Closing SOON!

I would love to do that drive with my new iX all finished. It would be well suited for those roads in any condition. Its unfortunate that it is so far away.
Van Westervelt- if your going down I5 to bimmerfest, cross over to 101 at HWY 41 @ kettleman city. Then take 41 to atascadero through shandon. That is only 25mi but the road is AMAZING. I used to drive it 5-6 times a year and always had a BLAST tearing it up. Its one of those roads you must drive at some point, I always wish it was longer but it has some awesome turns and elevations.

Yeah, last year we split off from the group south of the bay area, and 3 of us drove 1 down through Monterey Bay down through Atascadero all along the coast line. Great drive!

low key like try not to attract police lol just no dumb shit in general, like drifting when you know you cant, no big smoky burnouts in the cities etc.

as for dates, sometime soon hopefully, but not too soon cause i need to save up some money for the gas lol

i've driven 36 twice is absolutly amazing. So much fun, you dont even have to really drive all that fast to have a good time. the road Flows so well and the pavement is perfect! hardly any rough spots!

The scenery is beautiful and once you get to the coast the drive home, depending what you take is also awsome.

It can be done in one day, but takes some dedication. Wake up Really early, get to redbluff (2-3 hr drive depending on traffic) 36 can take anywhere from 3-5 hrs and the drive home another 3-5 hrs depending on route.

Best time to do it is in the spring when the days are longer.
