Bike Stolen In West LA - Maroon 1980's Miyata 110 Fixed Gear

Yesterday my bike was stolen from in front of my work building at 5750 Wilshire Blvd. Its a 1980s Maroon Miyata 61cm Fixed gear, 27" wheels with cheap skin wall tires. If anyone sees it or spots it for sale please let me know.

looks like your regular punk backpack. If it were a messenger style bag, maybe you could work with that as they are more rare. On the otherhand, he did steal a conversion.

didja hit the LAFixed Stolen thread? If not, I'll repost there for you.

The guy will probably get $10 for it. You should set out a bait bike and see if he comes back.

              Didn't you have it locked?

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

yup, the security camers show him sliding bolt cutters out of his jacket and snipping my pad lock (yes stupid idea, i will be buying a U-lock for my next bike) and snipped the lock off of my beefy Kryptonite flex lock.

So what's the process of retrieving stolen goods from CL? Does it involve cops or bros with baseball bats?

                        LMAO!

I'm sorry for your lost, bro. I can relate to your stolen bike as I have caught someone trying to steal my Red 1980s Bianchi in front of the martial arts dojo I used to practice at lol. It's funny 'cuz I just had finished my routine with my Eskrima sticks, so I still had the sticks on my hand and all of a sudden, I see this guy trying to get on my bike and take off. He got on the bike quick, but couldn't pedal fast because I always leave the gear on the hardest/lowest gear when I park, so if someone tries to pedal away, then they will have a hard time. I immediately ran outside, jumped as high as I can, and did a flying kick straight to his head lol. Motherfucka went down, so I started beating him with my sticks until I saw blood gushing out of his nose. My sensei kicked me hard throwing me far away from the perpetrator to stop me lmao! It was a good classic feeling, but not worth it because I felt bad afterwards for kicking his ass. I hope you find your bike and not have to kick the perpatrator's ass the same way I did lol. I'll keep my eyes open for your bike brah.

Right on, thats a classic story, I honestly would like to slam that guy in the head. Funny thing is I actually heard from an eye whitness to this guy riding off with my bike not knowing it was just stolen, he didnt know how to ride a fixed gear so when he got to the curb behind the building he tried to prepare for hopping the curb and the pedals threw him off the bike. twice! haha. sucks because the security guards realized something was going on and tried to stop him but he managed to get away :(

Sweet, an non fixed skilled robber. Sometimes they ditch the bike a few blocks away.
