I used have a 1990 325iX 5 sp. For a number of reasons I had to sell.
Am now looking return to a 325iX and there's a local-ish one where the Seller claims center dif VC is fine because he removed front driveshaft and vehicle moved under its own power with the front driveshaft out. This isn't my idea of how the center diff works but I've never had a center diff out in my hands or taken on apart so I thought it worth checking.
Looking at some cross sections I'm not sure his test is a test of the VC.
Is his test a true test of the VC? Thank yo in advance for the input.
