I don't do much besides Browse R3V, but I'd love to join a group that's headed to the picnic! I was up there last year with my beater, and intend on going again :)

I'm 60 miles east down the Columbia Gorge, so I'll join any meet up that happens in the Portland area on Saturday.

Earendil / Tyler age 25 / Silver & Primer / '89 325i Stock (but for the 'is' bits) / Portland Area

I will head up a group up on Sunday morning for the picnic like I do every year from Portland Meadows.

Any old guys go to this picnic? I was planning to go up Sunday morning in a very mildly modified 318.

There are people of all ages that go. 16-60 something was the oldest I think.

Here is a link of a few of us going on Sunday AM.

It is amazing the wide range of ages at the Picnic. We even have an award for youngest owner and oldest owner. Youngest is different each year, someone who's just turned 16. Better be nearing 70 to pick up the oldest owner award!

Your E30 Picnic chair is 47, semi-geezer status. LOL.

So, do we have a concrete time and location for saturday morning? I have to drive over an hour to get to Portland, more if I have to go south or away from I-5. Location and time effect my Friday night plans :)

Well since we will be joined by people coming from the south and whatnot we usually try for a little later time, say 9:00 to start meeting, and leaving sharply at 10:00 sounds good. The tech session starts at 1:00 on Saturday, so that should give us 3:00 to get our butts up there.

Because we tend to meet so late Portland Medows didn't want us last year... So we ended up venturing over to PIR... Last year some racing or a track day or something was going on... This year there will be motorcycles on the track, and there is a $10 charge to get in, so sound like we should pass on that.

Only good place sounds like the Shari's in the same area...

              So Let say...

Start meeting at Shari's at 9:00 am on Saturday morning, and plan on leaving at 10:00 am. The address for those of you who need it:

              9730 North Whitaker Road
              Portland, OR 97217-7739

Who was the original post??? Can you please update it? I will send PM.

how fast are you kids gonna be going on freeway?

I wont do sharies, makes no senses to drive 30 min to vancouver If Im going north anyway.
Ill probably meet you on freeway. Or maybe go eat elsewhere, and then leave at 10 from my house.

I usually do the 5-10mh, depending on how alert I am to cops.
However, since I'll be driving a faded silver Stock car, I'm willing to drive at whatever speed y'all are doing, since I won't be the first one a cop would like to hand a ticket to ;-)
