E30 simulator ownage

Seeing how I'm still stationed in Washington so to speak, I've logged about a thousand miles on the e30 sim at James' house. :borg:

Here's my best two times (so far) in replay mode. I have a feeling the fastest lap will fall again before I leave, but its a 2:10.055 vs a 2:09.948. The fast time is the 2nd place car until 4 turns from the end--the right hand corner at the top of the hill.

Just wondering, but is there any where I can download the track and the car? And it's Race07, right?

Andrew, your times were 2:19.958, and 2:17.657. Good enough for 11th. Im still here because I wanted to put my headlights back together before I left, but it so happened that the ones I bought were put on the slow(est) boat from Germany. Still not here yet, but whatever.

The game is GTR Evolution. No driving assists, no abs, and obviously manual transmission. The setup here has all 3 pedals, and a proper gated gear knob. As for setup, I've only used the default M3 setup, or the few little tweaks John Parker put on his own setup file; the file I have also used.

You can tell you have logged hours by the consistency of your ghosts, It was like watching a real race between them. Good job man, that's faster then any of us originally thought any of the M3's could go.

Looking forward to finding some time to come play and drink before you have to head back down...

Fast time is in the lead the whole way. The only way to make the ghost car (first 2:09) opaque is to focus the replay camera on it. Doing well when I cant see the car I was driving near the end :pimp:

And considering I was a bit quicker than you at the party. Last vid still looks a bit sloppy, Im sure another second or two is possible.

I think one second is possible, two would be seriously over doing it. The only reason I'm saying that, is I have had almost a half second on my ghost before the sacrificed turn 3, but lost it. I was slow at the party because I had no patience but did have drinks :D

Ugh, I can't remember what my time was last year, but it was after a significant amount of substance abuse. I will try and make it next year to take you down. :p

I'll have to be back next year to see people try, flail and fail. Interesting note though, I got bored racing the ghost, (but if course I havent changed the car setup at all, which would do wonders if I cared to mess with it) and started racing events on the track. Qualifying with the other M3's at 100%, my best time would have only put me just off pole in at least one of the races. Pole was the computer driving one at a 2:08.898 or something.

Yeah, I dunno. GTR kinda pisses me off. I was telling Criv he should put LFS on that bitch but he didn't seem too interested (no e30 or telemetry although it's a much better sim).

I found my old time, I was in the 2:14s. But I had been drinking and had no practice. It's on next time. ;)
