I can't believe I'm not making the drive up tomorrow.

Would have been 10 years in a row. I was so close.

The wife hasn't gone into labor yet, but I can't shake this feeling that there's a reason I'm not supposed to go this year.

Bled it 2x with a airlift system. Let it idle for almost an hour, just keeps sitting just past the middle on the gauge.

Any way you can take a temp of the radiator itself? Dummy gauge could just be perma-lying.

I don't have a temp gun. I took out the tstat and tested it on the stove, opened up at 88C just like it's supposed. Maybe water pump is bad? Never seen a water pump go bad without leaking.. Also put a screwdriver up to the pump and it sounded normal.

Bled it again and it's running just past middle with the fan on. With the fan off it creeps up to 3/4...

That sounds perfectly normal to me, that's about where you want it, between a 1/2 and 3/4.

I think it is rain or shine, because the rain here is super light. James' R3V party is fully prepped for rain! Get on the road sir!!
