my m20 finally died after 300k. was planning on being there, but instead i will be in the middle of an engine swap

next year

I feel you man as I registered and died a week later.
In the process of rebuilding, yet planning to still make it. Head is all done as well as block, now just have to wait on parts before re-assembling (rings and main/connecting rod bearings.)

Thought about swapping the m20b25 with 59k miles but not quite ready for this project yet since I am on the fence about getting another one and doing a m30 swap; therefore, just doing a quick re-build on the m20b27.

Still, I am determined to make it this year as it will be my first one out of 10 years as a e30 owner (sad I know).

Best Western Plus Tacoma Dome Hotel has underground parking.

Next to the Tacoma Dome, natch. You can also check out the Lemay ACM museum within easy walking distance.

Caravan from Bay Area is pretty easy... Look at my old caravan threads from the last ten years or so for a template (gas stops, traffic spot, etc.).

I am sure we can arrange something. What day are you flying in? I know Uber also picks up from the airport and shouldn't be more than $50 to tacoma
