PNW Picnic - SE Caravan

Hey, since we're down to 3 guys, would you guys be willing to consider a full 180 degree change in plans? I am considering taking the southern roads, through Texas and meeting up with the SoCal guys to head out with their caravan.

We'd have to be in SoCal by Tuesday night (to have a night to sleep). SoCal guys leave on Wednesday.

Thoughts?

i would rather not do that, i talked with a friend who took that route and said it sucked, in terms of gas availability and places to stop. but im down for just getting one hotel room, ill sleep anywhere

Well, the Cali guys plan on being in Oregon by Thursday. I'd take off from there to WA on Thursday and meet up with E-Rich for drifting on Friday.

I'm putting this boosted e30 to the test in a week and a half.

Well, I have driven non-stop from Biloxi, MS to right before the SC state line at like 4 am before. Once it gets dark, my eyes start to get tired, especially with oncoming headlights. But other than that, I'm down for some long stints.

Are you guys down to splitting hotel rooms along the way? Or are we shooting for Cannonball run "no-sleep-until-we-arrive" style?

With only 3 e30s, we can probably cruise at a steady pace to make for some good time. :)

I might get a wireless card to have internet on my laptop along the trip.

I just put my Corbeaus for sale.... so unless they don't sell, I plan on riding solo. Not a lot of people can ditch 1-2 weeks to travel.
