Can't wait to see you all again. I just dunno if I am coming up to Portland on Thursday or Friday yet. Most likely Friday at this point so I can roll with Mr. Anderson and company.

Luke's car better have something cool in it still... but like with more DONE, hehe.

This weekend is going to be go, go, go! It's been raining all week, I hope it gets nice enough to get a few layers of paint on the Reiger.
The gaskets and plugs for my fogs came today, Patrick is my fucking hero. The fog lenses should be here tomorrow, or Friday at the latest. I might be installing my new fogs at Crivvy's house on Saturday!

The car is back from the detailers, nice and shiny, and the 1st coat of clear is drying on my freshly painted Reiger. w00t.

Still no fog lenses today, grrrrrrrr...

My front lip is mounted, separated seam in my driver's seat is fixed, car is clean (for now, until I drive to Portland tomorrow), so things are good.

Greetings all, a few final announcements as we roll into E30 Picnic weekend. Sorry in advance for the length.

Sunday Arrival Time - Please arrive between 10:30am - 11:30am. A few late arrivals are OK. Please don't arrive early. We won't be ready to park cars until 10:30am. When you arrive you'll park first, then go to the registration tent to get signed in, get your raffle tickets, free goodies, etc. Please remember the $7 donation to cover event costs.

Sunday Lunch - I've spoken with the Trip-X and reminded them to be fully staffed to serve our large group (E30s with guests = 265 people). We can be helpful by not all walking in right at noon trying to order. If some people can order early, that would help the kitchen.

Weather - We are on rain or shine! We have guys from California, PDX, Canada and an E30 from Georgia! So let's welcome them all. Saturday is indoor so it can rain Saturday so long as it is dry on Sunday, LOL.

Raffle - Rain or shine on Sunday we have a couple thousand dollars worth of raffle prizes donated by some great supporters that will be given away. On Sunday the ticket distribution will be the same as last year. i.e. everyone (E30 owners and guests) get one ticket. E30 owners get a second ticket. Anyone wearing a BMW shirt receives a ticket. So for example, an E30 owner with BMW themed shirt on their back nets 3 tickets to use in the raffle.

Parking - We park the E30s like sardines to maximize the parking lot. We can't save spaces for people. Please arrive with someone if you want to park with them.

M Team Shirts - Yes there will be a new M Team shirt design, cash only please! We're doing the #11 Listerine/Omega car from the 1991 BTCC. Image attached. White and light grey shirts available. Special price of $17 each at the Picnic.

E30 Swap Meet - Yes please bring your E30 parts to sell! I suggest leaving your cell number with your parts if you want to wander away from your parts so people can track you down. There is a cash machine in the Trip-X if you need cash to buy something.

Special Guest - Steve Johnson, the Western Region VP for the BMWCCA is driving up here from San Diego with his E30 M3. For people in the BMWCCA, Steve is our representative on the National Board. He's very excited to attend the Picnic and has heard great things about it.

Griot's Garage World Premier a new product at Saturday E30 Tech Day! Here is a press release about their new Spray-On Car Wash:

"Griot's Garage has announced that they will be pre-releasing their new Spray-On Car Wash to us at the Tech Day on July 7th! Skeptical? There will be tons available for you to test out on your car (or mine first!). This is an excellent way to be able to clean your car on those long road trips where a bucket and water is not available, in a neighborhood that does not allow washing, or out front of your apartment complex. Come by to the Tech Day and give the new Spray-On Car Wash, or any of the other Griot's Garage products, a try. They will have staff on hand to assist you with any questions you may have and more than enough car care products available to make sure everybody's cars are ready for the Picnic on Sunday.

The car care products and staff will be available from 11am until we leave. Griot's Garage will also be offering discounts and specials on purchases made that day."

Caravans - Check the R3V threads for various caravans coming to the events.

            Everyone have a nice drive!

I order my lenses Monday of last week, and they still didn't come today. Two fucking weeks and still nothing? Awesome service from that place.

Guess I get to show up with 2 big gaping holes in my front valance again.

went down to Tacoma today.. saw a bunch of e30's. I passed a nice looking lowered red e30 on my way back up this evening. It was pretty close to midnight on NB I-5 through the Federal Way area. There were at least three people in the car.. looked good. I was in my black mk2 gti. Looking forward to tomorrow
